Entr'acte As a globetrotting and bibulous observer of
the world, Taiga Chiba's work has been shaped
and influenced by his extensive travels. Using serigraph
printing, Japanese brush and ink painting with natural
dyes, embroidery and drawing with pencil and ballpoint
pen, the mixed media work featured in Entr'acte
has been especially inspired by the artist's numerous
trips to India and Mexico.

Yamaguchi exhibits her recent drawings of niche
places of the Hong Kong she knows, the unique

calm, but also to leave viewers feeling rejuvenated and
refreshed. Featuring works by Tony Yin Tak Chu,

Melancholia Dreamland Wonderfully chimerical in colour palette and
form, Simone Guo describes this series of
acrylic paintings and mixed media as “hovering between
landscape and lyrical abstraction”. The artist does not
paint these works from real life but rather she “paints
landscape as a concept.”

Ebb and Flow Since 2014, Tony Yin Tak Chu has
been working on an ongoing series of works titled, Liu
Shui, based on the Chinese pictographic
words 流 水 which translates as flowing water. This series
is an installation consisting of a number of scrolls
made of mixed media drawings and paintings using ink,
drafting pens and water soluble oil pastels on tracing
paper instead of more traditional materials such as silk
or mulberry paper.
