Zodiac

Works by Wang Nengtao

June 3 - 25, 2015

Artist will be in attendance at the opening on June 3rd (Wednesday), 2015, 6 - 8pm

Stereotyping has been the biggest stumbling block for most of us when it comes to our acceptance of new imageries and art forms. This is mainly because we refuse to budge on our acquaintance of established forms and norms.

With his series of the zodiac animals, Wang Nengtao challenges us to reflect on how much we have let our habitual perceptions limit our appreciation of art as a creative medium. Wang hopes that his twelve zodiac animals will help us to refresh our minds, to think and to see outside the box.

A graduate of the Art Department of the Central Ethnic University in Beijing, Wang Nengtao has been an active motivator in Beijing’s contemporary art scene for over 25 years.

The Zodiac exhibition opens at Art Beatus Gallery on June 3, 2015 and will continue until June 25, 2015.
