6pm - 8pm:
Milkshake is used to name the exhibition because of its relationship to milk and sugar. Viewers can easily feel the sweetness as well as the smoothness of homogenous milk in the works of Han Yajuan. If you ask why Han paints works like hers, your own answer is as good as anybody's. The aesthetically right question to ask is: have you seen any works similar to hers before? Han is exhibiting 24 pieces of her latest works at Art Beatus Gallery Exchange Square in September. Born in 1980, Han Yajuan belongs the newest generation of Chinese artists who has neither recollection of the social bitterness of the past nor the social burden on the shoulders of artists of earlier generations. Basically and simply she paints what she likes and presents them on canvases for the viewers. She has but one mission: Freshness. Han finished her bachelor degree in fine arts in the China Academy of Art in 2002 and is taking her masters degree at the Central Academy of Fine Art in Beijing. Despite her young age, she has participated in numerous exhibitions since 1999. Art Beatus Gallery is located at Shop 301-302, Exchange Square One podium level.
