The first game of the *2006 FIFA World Cup Germany* is due to start on June 9, 2006 between the national teams of Germany and Costa Rica in Munich, Germany.
A total of 32 qualified teams from countries around the world will be squaring off in 8 groups. They will try to eliminate their opponents in two levels of matches for the ultimate opportunity of playing in the World Cup final exactly a month later.
To arouse global attention to the matches, the promotional arm of FIFA selected 14 world-renowned artists in 2004 and asked each of them to design an official poster for the World Cup. Among the 14 artists, five are from Germany, two from Great Britain, and one each from China, Japan, Ghana, Nigeria, Brazil, Australia and the United States.
The Chinese entrant is the Luo Brothers from Beijing. Art Beatus Gallery will show all 14 autographed artposters at its exhibition space at Exchange Square. A limited number of non-signed posters will be available for sale in the shop.
